On June 19, the 21st World Brand Congress was held in Beijing. The organizer, World Brand Lab, released the analysis report of "China's 500 Most Valuable Brands" in 2024.
In this annual report based on financial data, brand strength and consumer behavior analysis, Aucma with a brand value of 69.579 billion yuan was honored as the "2024 China's 500 Most Valuable Brands", ranked 166th, up 11 places from 2023.
In this year's ranking, a total of 24 brands from related industries, including food and beverage, light industry, building materials, media, textile and garment, medicine and machinery, have been selected. According to the analysis of the expert group of World Brand Lab, the competitive strength of a region mainly depends on its comparative advantages, and the brand benefits directly affect the formation and development of regional comparative advantages. Brand is an important symbol of a region's development, and brand and regional economic growth are interlinked. From the point of view of the regional distribution of China's 500 Most Valuable Brands, Beijing has 91 brands selected, ranking first, mainly because the headquarters of central enterprises with strong profitability are concentrated in Beijing. Guangdong and Shanghai ranked second and third with 79 and 42 brands respectively. Shandong ranked fourth with 40 brands.
The theme of this year's World Brand Congress was "Breakthrough and Innovation: A Roadmap for Digital Technology to Enhance Brand Value". Management gurus from Harvard, Yale, Oxford and INSEAD attended the World Brand Congress and delivered keynote speeches, interacting with 600 entrepreneurs and managers around the theme of the Congress.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not only an iconic concept but is triggering an industrial revolution that heralds a fundamental shift in the social and economic order that is irreversible, said Hazel Ting, CEO of the World Manager Group and the World Brand Lab and a PhD from the University of Oxford. Today, the three companies in the world with a market capitalization of more than $3 trillion, namely Microsoft, Apple and NVIDIA, are on the AI track. Tesla, which has fallen out of favor in the capital markets, has also just shifted to the AI track and increased its bet on humanoid robots. 90% of the huge market capitalization of these tech giants belongs to intangible assets represented by brands at the core. Professor Steve Woolgar, Chairman of the Academic Committee of the World Brand Lab and Emeritus Professor of Marketing at the University of Oxford (Oxford), concluded that brands need to develop a long-term AI strategy and find ways to connect effectively with consumers and investors.
China's 500 Most Valuable Brands, published by the World Brand Lab for 21 consecutive years, is regarded as the "Oscar" of Chinese brands. Its research results have become an important basis for the evaluation of intangible assets in the process of mergers and acquisitions of many enterprises.
